The Sephora Formula X #ColorCurators Edition Nail Polishes for 2022 - Makeup and Beauty Blog
How fun would it be to get a call from someone at MAC, Do good, Urban Decay or Sephora today saying, "Hello, [insert your name hither]! Nosotros honey what you've been doing on your web log and YouTube channel, and we desire, in the paraphrased words of Queen Madge, to help you express yo'cocky!"?
Dazzler collaborations. Talk about fun! Seriously, who wouldn't want to work with one of their fave brands to create their very ain lipstick (Lipglass), quad or color?
Sephora'due south new Formula 10 #ColorCurators program is Sephora's latest beauty collaboration. Each month Sephora will release 3 limited edition boom polish shades either created or curated by a different mover/shaker in the online dazzler, lifestyle or style infinite.
To become the plan off to a good start are 3 people you may accept heard of before — fashion blogger Aimee Song of Song of Style, beauty vlogger Patrick Starrr (I watch him on the 'Tube, and all I accept to say is "Slaaaaaaay!" LOL! Patrick cracks me up.) and blogger and author Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere.
Aimee's shades just launched for Jan, Patrick'southward colors arrive in February, and Emily'due south shades debut in March.
So, Formula X. Let's talk nearly that. First, the line has been around a while and, if you've spent whatever time at Sephora in the contempo past (which, I imagine you have, if you're on MBB, LOL!), chances are their display of jaw-dropping nail colors and nail doodads has caught your eye. It may have as well distracted you from buying dry out shampoo, mascara or whatever else y'all originally intended to purchase when you entered the store…
It'southward OK. It happens to me too. 🙂
I've tried quite a few of these and other Formula Ten colors, and I like them, particularly their levels of paint, their drying time (about x-15 minutes, which is reasonably quick) and wear fourth dimension, only that last i comes with a take hold of… I recall you actually accept to pair them with the Formula X accoutrements, namely their base and top coats, to get the most wear time out of them.
When I use all Formula 10 errrrthing, then they'll last me about vi days before I kickoff to run across any chipping, only if I apply a base or elevation coat from whatsoever other brand (or if I don't use one at all)…not and so good. I'll get-go to see fries in a few days.
Subsequently swatching the #ColorCurators shades hither, I kept a couple of them on to (Aimee Vocal's Mintfluenencer and Nude For You lot) and, with the Formula X base and superlative glaze, I got five full days before I noticed a couple of tiny nicks at the tips. Groovy at all, and pretty typical of Formula 10 for me.
OK, maybe you've decided to grab a canteen or two because yous're feeling these colors, merely can't quite narrow it downwards. I think a good identify to outset is Mintfuliencer a get. Love me some mint! This particular shade looks like a soft pastel mint green (almost like melted pistachio ice cream), and to me, it most functions more like a nude neutral. If you gravitate to Essie-esque nude pinks and beiges, it could be a fun fashion to switch upward your smash game.
Haute Sauce, a brilliant red, might be one to consider as well. This ane caught my middle because of it's coral tones, and although it's the heart of wintertime now, those coral days of spring and summer are a comin'. It's something you could wearable from spring all the way through summer.
Lastly, Yazzz! — partly considering of the spelling (don't inquire me why, but annihilation written with three Zs cracks me up EVERY. Unmarried. TIME.), and partly because I see it working well for warm and cool skin tones.
I can't expect to vesture Yazzz on my toes when I become pond next summer. (Peradventure with Babe Girl? I do desire to enroll her in babe swim classes…)
I also love the pigment in this one, and it's smooooove.
If you're #ColorCurators curious, you'll find them exclusively (call back, there'll exist a new batch of three every month) at Sephora and sephora.com ($12.fifty each).
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler aficionado,
Karen
